What are the symptoms of Achilles Tendonitis?
The most obvious symptom of Achilles Tendonitis is pain above the heel bone. When the pain first appears it’s usually pretty mild and you may only notice it after running; however, over time you may notice that the pain gets worse after certain exercises. Along with pain you may also experience stiffness or tenderness in the heel, especially in the morning or after long periods of sitting.

How do you treat Achilles Tendonitis?

- Avoiding high-impact activities or activities that exacerbate symptoms
- Elevating the foot to reduce swelling
- Performing stretching exercises or undergoing physical therapy
- Icing the heel

- Replacing worn-out shoes, especially running shoes
Surgery is only necessary if your symptoms aren’t responding to any other nonsurgical treatment options after several months or if the tendon is torn.

A heel cup or pad, rest, ice, stretching, and modified exercising are very helpful when treating this condition.
- Achilles Tendonitis – Overuse of the Achilles tendon leads to this condition. Excessive jumping is often the leading cause of Achilles tendonitis. In most cases, it affects people aged 14 and up. Over the counter anti-inflammatory medication, rest, ice and stretching can help heal this condition.
- Stress Fracture – Stress fractures occur when the body is subjected to repeated episodes of micro traumas. A sudden increase in exercise can cause these types of fractures. If these fractures are not properly treated, they can become more severe and cause a full fracture to the bone. Stress fractures should be seen and treated immediately.

Little feet are delicate and require more love and care than big feet. It is true that children’s feet are different from those of adults because they are actively growing and developing. - Flat feet pain with children is a common concern that many parents have with their children’s health. Lack of an arch in the foot can cause significant problems but can be monitored to see if they grow out of it. In the interim the child should wear arch support shoes to ensure the foot develops away from the conditions of flat feet.

Dane Swan of the Collingwood Magpies, has been rendered out of commission for the past month as a result of a strained plantar fascia. However, Collingwood might need Swan’s skills if they want to win in future games. Causes of Heel Pain
